Located
just 30 minutes from Lisbon, the town of Sintra has long been a

The centerpiece of Sintra is the
Palácio Nacional de Pena, which was built in 1838. The palace is perched
high on a hilltop overlooking the city, and is considered one of the
Seven Wonders of Portugal. Other places of interest include Pena Park,
the Castelo dos Mouros (Castle of the Moors) that was built between the
8th and 9th centuries, Palácio Nacional de Sintra, and the Quinta de
